Blogging, Site Improvements and Shipping Changes
As many in the LBB community know, I occasionally like to hop into the chat room to answer questions, share thoughts and get feedback on the site. A few LBB’ers have asked that I start posting these notes on our blog so I’m happy to announce that I will be blogging on a regular basis to announce site changes and address questions that are coming up regularly.
LBB is a living, breathing site. There is nothing else like it online and we are paving an exciting new road to places the internet has never seen. We are always rolling out new features based on consumer feedback (which everyone should feel encouraged to send: firstname.lastname@example.org) with the goal of making LBB an even more exciting, social and fashionable site. Many of you have participated in the video gallery feature, which we created as a direct result of all the amazing LBB haul videos that started popping up on YouTube. We thought it would be fun to bring these videos directly into LBB and the community has responded warmly by creating even more videos. I’d like to give a special shout out to Camile, Chelsey, Zulma, and Megan for the Sh!! LBBers say video that gave all of us a great laugh. Your creativity is inspiring.
Now for a couple of important announcements:
1. We recently changed shipping partners and a few of you have noticed that the estimated shipping times seem unusually long. I’m happy to say that these estimated times are not quite accurate and the actual times are much shorter. We are working with our shipping partner to get these estimates to reflect the actual shipping times. Some of our customers may see slightly shorter shipping times and some may see slightly longer times but in general there should be no change from before.
2. We are also working on improving the chat experience. Our goal on chat is for everyone to have a fun, positive and welcoming experience – and this is true 99% of the time. I would like to encourage folks in the chat room to continue to be gracious with each other, discover new trades, help new LBB’ers and make friends. I’ve enjoyed myself tremendously in the chat room and have even been able to drum up a few good trades in between pizza breaks. One of the nice elements of LBB is that we all win when customers have a great experience on the site because more LBB’ers means more items, trades and FUN!
