About the Company
Little Black Bag is a venture backed eCommerce company based in Los Angeles that is introducing an entirely new way to shop online. The company is based on a Japanese retail store concept called the “lucky bag sale,” where retailers sell bags of mystery products to consumers in a fun, socially engaging way. LBB is bringing this concept online in order to create a truly social shopping experience. LBB’s co-founders are Dan Murillo, previously a venture capitalist with Greycroft Partner and Stanford MBA; David Weissman, a 12 year eCommerce veteran who most recently exited from GSI Commerce after eBay’s $2.4 Billion acquisition; and Sasha Siddhartha, a Development Manager with Microsoft and Stanford computer science grad.
Role
The VP of Marketing will oversee all marketing activities at the company. The company currently has a small marketing team so this is an opportunity to set the initial strategy and build your own marketing team around a fast growing and well capitalized company.
We are looking for a marketing professional that can develop, manage and execute on both customer acquisition and retention strategies. These include creative media buying, email marketing, social media marketing, SEM/SEO, affiliate marketing, peer to peer referral platform (on site and FB) and any other potential acquisition strategies (DRTV, digital OOH, etc.) We are looking for someone that understands CRM and has strong quantitative skills. We have an acquisition strategy that spans multiple channels and we need a leader who can analyze the efficacy of each channel to maximize our investments.
You will manage LBB’s social media platforms and will need to have vision and creativity because you will also own the voice of our site with consumers. We expect you to develop new creative ideas to develop relationships with our consumers, whether through haul videos on You Tube or developing site features that inspire social interaction.
Experience
7-10+ years of online marketing experience managing acquisition and/or retention campaigns. Must have diverse experience in most marketing channels for a consumer facing company.
Compensation
Based on experience.
